Tynt Meadow Quintus 330ml
Britain's first official Trappist ale, Tynt Meadow, was released in 2018 to widespread acclaim. Unlike its more famous continental Trappist cousins, Tynt Meadow is less a Belgian style beer, but is a strong dark ale with a deeply English character. To celebrate the five-year anniversary of this English Trappist ale the monks have produced Quintus, a limited edition beer sure to delight enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Tynt Meadow should be enjoyed with dark chocolate desserts, fruit cakes or spiced puddings. Figs and cheeses such a double Gloucester are fantastic pairings.
The monastery +
Mount Saint Bernard Abbey
Founded in 1835 in Leicestershire, Mount Saint Bernard Abbey, would become the first permanent monastery to be founded in England since the desolation of the monasteries under Henry VIII. The only Trappist monastery to be found in the British isles, for a long time it practised animal husbandry, producing milk to sustain themselves. However with the turn of the millennium it became clear that the monks needed to find new avenues of income and inspired by their Trappist brethren they began studying the arts of brewing. From this labour came the now famous Tynt Meadow brew which receives the stamp of approval from the drinkers of Belgium and the Netherlands where it is very popular and whose sophisticated palates are difficult to please.
